Dr. Kevin Liberko,  is a local guy, growing up and graduating from Eden Prairie High School. He then attended the University of Wisconsin- Madison to complete his undergraduate degree, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Certificate in Business. Dr. Liberko returned to the Twin Cities to earn his dental degree from the University of Minnesota-School of Dentistry. Despite being a Gopher for 4 years, his allegiance always lies with Bucky. Go Badgers!

Dr. Liberko’s practicing style is hard-working and compassionate. He is committed to providing excellent care for his patients and takes pride in the quality of his work. He really enjoys utilizing new technology in the delivery of treatment and stays informed through a variety of Continuing Education programs. Delivering confident smiles to his patients is why he loves practicing dentistry. Dr. Liberko has been with Interlachen Dental Associates since 2016, and took over ownership of the practice in 2023.

When not in the office, Dr. Liberko enjoys spending time with his wife Emily and their daughters Madison, Taytum and Leighton. His summers are spent with family and friends at the cabin, on the lake, playing golf, or finding new local campsites to explore. His favorite sports and outdoor activities include: running, biking, water skiing, snowboarding, golf, and hockey. He is a passionate Minnesota Viking and Wild fan.

Dr. Gitzen is a lifelong resident of the Twin Cities. He grew up in West St. Paul and attended high school at St. Thomas Academy. He completed his undergraduate work at the University of St. Thomas in biology, where he played on the basketball team and was a four-year starter, captain and MVP. He went on to dental school at the University of Minnesota and graduated in 1986.

After graduation, Dr. Gitzen joined a group dental practice in Bloomington, Minnesota, where he worked from 1986 through 1992. In 1993, he came onboard with Interlachen Dental Associates as an associate and in 2000, he became the owner. In 2023, Dr. Gitzen passed on ownership of Interlachen Dental to his long-time associate, Dr. Kevin Liberko.

Dr. Gitzen is committed to full-service family dentistry. He works with patients of all ages requiring a vast array of dental care. He keeps up on the latest techniques by attending continuing dental education programs, and takes pride in running a practice that ensures clinical excellence in a comfortable, clean environment.

When Dr. Gitzen is not practicing dentistry, he happily spends time with his family, his wife Lora and three children, Steven, Danielle and Luke. He also enjoys coaching his children’s sports teams, reading, boating, golfing, biking and participating in and watching sporting events.
